Offering better energy economy and dexterity over their previous six-wheeled model, robotics startup Avide has shown a new four-wheeled sidewalk delivery robot. Built for Uber Eats deliveries in Austin and South Korea, the revised robot has a re-engineered chassis with rotating wheels that let it easily negotiate tight corners and narrow sidewalks. Improved with flexible cargo possibilities and Nvidia’s Jetson Orin platform, the robot also has a friendly LED panel meant to lower vandalism.
